I'm producing this week's "Alabama Stories" airing at 7pm Friday. It's the story of Birmingham Startup, a competition in November in which a handful of would-be Internet business owners competed over a single weekend at Innovation Depot in Downtown Birmingham. The winner had his or her business actually created the following weekend. You'll see the process, and I hope maybe learn a thing or two about starting your own Internet business. Warning: their site reveals the winner, but have at it if you want! I had a great time covering the event, and as you may have seen earlier in this blog, had fun capturing some early morning Downtown Scenes.

The regular 8pm FTR will be broadcast from Huntsville this Friday. Steve Johnson, Anchor at WHNT-TV in Huntsville and The Huntsville Times Editorial Page Editor John Ehinger will be panelists, and Huntsville Mayor Loretta Spencer will be the guest.
