Two are charged with the burning of ten churches in Texas...not unlike the church burnings in Alabama, for which three Birmingham-Southern students were arrested. All three eventually pled guilty.
Does arson itself tend to be a young white male crime?
Nobody was hurt in the church burnings in Texas or Alabama.

If you really wanna' know, the DOJ has all the stats for crime you'd ever want to know.
However, arson is a crime that, by its very nature, is often found in the presence of anther crime... such as murder, for example.
As well, arson is a "stepping-stone" crime. Arsonists are well known to have developed into more hardened crimes/criminal acts. Rape, for example, is often the successor criminal act to burglary.
