Drones in Alabama

The police chief of a Montgomery- area municipality says he is considering using drones for police work.
The only other area law agency on record as wanting to use the pilot less model aircraft for law enforcement was the Montgomery County Sheriff, who had applied for and been granted an FAA license, but apparently did not follow through on actually buying any of the controversial aircraft.
Watch the new ABC Montgomery Sunday program Your Community This Week to hear the Prattville Chief Mark Thompson's comments about drones, medical marijuana, and the difference between crime fighting in a small community vs the big city next door.
We also talk with the Executive Director of Envision 2020 about a week-long Summer Camp for rising High Schoolers who are interested in careers in medicine.

The program airs at 9:00am Sundays on ABC Montgomery.
