Sunday Focus: Take That Obama!

There was only one news outlet reporting this story over the weekend...and it was The Washington Times:

Alabama became the fourth state on Thursday to pass the legislation calling for a convention of states to limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government.
Alabama is the first state to pass such legislation this year and joins Georgia, Florida, and Alaska which passed the Convention of States resolution in 2014.

Imagine! Alabama politicians telling Obama and friends where to go!

Not a word about the historic decision elsewhere in the holiday weekend reporting. Will it require a signature from the Governor? Will he do so? Watch this space!

Related? A Civil War soldier from Alabama was honored in South Carolina on Friday...according to an AP story:

What is known about the soldier is he was from Alabama and contracted smallpox before stopping in Abbeville (South Carolina) in 1865. His body was taken across the street from the train depot and buried at the bottom of the hill.
Hayes said the unknown soldier is representative of all unknown soldiers from the Confederacy who never made it home.
Jones provided the dedication of the grave and spoke of the importance of continuing to educate people, especially the youth, of the South's Civil War history and that Southerners should not be ashamed of honoring the Confederate dead.
