Confederate Flag Will Target ASU

     The newspaper in Tallassee reports a Neo-Confederate group there is planning to fly a Confederate flag along I-85 in Montgomery...across from the HBCU Alabama State University.

    The paper reports the land is just large enough for the pole---perhaps as high as 50 feet---and was donated by a Montgomery Physician who wants to remain anonymous. 

  The group says it wants the flag to be visible to students at the university, but denies they are doing it to antagonize, that they want everyone to see the flag.           
   They also commented that "our lives matter just as much." 
 No immediate reaction from ASU.




   Another Confederate group installed a huge confederate flag along I-65 North of Montgomery years ago.
