If you have a Yahoo email account, your incoming mail was likely scanned by U.S intelligence agents starting last April, reports The Washington Post and Reuters. And Yahoo went along with the orders to do so. Two company officials resigned in protest.
"The government's demand to scan email in real time alarmed privacy advocates, as did Yahoo's compliance with such a broad order. Patrick Toomey, a staff attorney with the American Civil Liberties Union, called the order "unprecedented and unconstitutional."The Washington Post
