Saturday Focus: Trump

Republican Alabama Congresswoman Martha Roby says she will not vote for Trump.

"As disappointed as I've been with his antics throughout this campaign, I thought supporting the nominee was the best thing for our country and our party. Now, it is abundantly clear that the best thing for our country and our party is for Trump to step aside and allow a responsible, respectable Republican to lead the ticket."
Full statement HERE.

She joins a growing number of Republicans abandoning Trump after a tape was released in which Trump boasts how easy it has been for him to have sex with women to "grab their P****".

So far the lewd tape has not impacted another Alabama Republican and his ties to Trump.  The campaign released this statement last night.

Donald J. Trump Statement

"Governor Mike Pence will be representing me tomorrow in Wisconsin. I will be spending the day in New York in debate prep with RNC Chairman Reince Priebus, Gov. Chris Christie and Sen. Jeff Sessions, and then flying to St. Louis on Sunday for the 2nd Presidential Debate."

UPDATE: Republican Alabama Governor Bentley says:

"I endorsed Governor John Kasich for President, because I felt like he was the most qualified and the best person to lead our nation. I certainly won't vote for Hillary Clinton, but I cannot and will not vote for Donald Trump."

Isn't that, in effect, a vote for Hillary Clinton?

Watch the Sunday night debate at 8:00 PM on CBS 8 or ABC Montgomery---Alabama News Network.
