Sewn Together: Two Centuries of Alabama Quilts
features 14 nineteenth- and twentieth-century
quilts from the Archives' collection paired with 14 contemporary quilts
from the collection of the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts. Presented as
"exemplary pairs," the quilts illustrate comparisons of the varied
techniques, themes, and traditional patterns seen in two centuries of
Alabama quilt making.
The exhibition will be on display through April 16, 2017 at the MMFA.
