Jackson Hospital in Montgomery held a photography contest this year to collect artwork for their newly renovated 6th floor.
Some 500 photos were submitted, and fifty were chosen for semi-permanent display in the hospital. They were printed on metal, making it easier to clean...an important consideration in a health care environment.
Anyway...two of the fifty selected photos were mine, and one of them was chosen as one of the top winners in the competition!
It was the first time in many years of photography that I have entered a competition.
This is one of the two that were selected...the one that was also selected as one of the "best of show", so to speak, and I am honored. It hangs in a family waiting room.
