Saturday Focus: Germany


“If the French are rightly proud of their emperor and the Britons of Nelson and Churchill, we have the right to be proud of the achievements of the German soldiers in two world wars..."

     That's a quote from a Reuters story out this morning about a German politician defending the soldiers who fought for Hitler.

    Is it time to build monuments to the men and women who helped make the Holocaust happen? Is that just a footnote in WWII history.
     And how does that relate to the controversy in the U.S. over confederate monuments?
