2018 Elections

The Republican and Democratic Primary elections will be held in Alabama on June 5th.

Alabama taxpayers will pay for those elections, even though their only purpose is for the two dominant parties to select a candidate to run in the real election in November. And by the way, since they are publicly funded, how can the parties hold closed door meetings to discuss them, as they do when there are challenges to candidates qualifications?

Nonetheless...Alabama News Network has been conducting interviews with the Republican and Democratic Primary candidates for Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, and for Alabama's 2nd Congressional District. The Face2Face segments air on CBS 8 in the 5:00 PM news and on ABC Montgomery in the 5:30 PM News.

This afternoon you'll hear from Republican Candidate for Lt. Gov. Will Ainsworth. Tomorrow, from Republican Candidate for Lt. Gov. Rusty Glover.

Longer versions of the on-air interviews are posted on the network website, and you can watch them whenever you like online HERE
