Guess What? The N.Y. Times Has Chosen An Alabama City for it's 2019 "52 Places To Visit" List.

I asked two days ago whether lightning could strike again...could another location in Alabama make the New York Times list, after Montgomery made the list last year.

The list is out today....and Huntsville...Alabama's "Rocket City" is on it, largely because of 2019's moon landing anniversary, I believe:

"The 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing will draw crowds to Huntsville — a.k.a. Rocket City — home of the Marshall Space Flight Center, where the spacecraft that launched astronauts to the moon were developed. Throughout the year, there will be daily re-enactments of the moon landing at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, but the biggest thrills are planned for the anniversary week of the Apollo 11 Lunar Landing Mission in July."
                                                                              The N.Y. Times, 1-9-19

Huntsville is in some very much larger company. This year New York City is on the list. So is Munich, and Las Vegas, and Danang Vietnam, and Tunis, Algeria, and Lyon and Marseilles, France, and Los Angeles and Perth. And Hong Kong and Tahiti and more.

Now, if Mobile, on Alabama's Gulf Coast. can make itself stand out for 2020, Alabama could have a travel trifecta!
