He fought The Confederacy. And The Jews.

Ulysses S. Grant destroyed the KKK

in 1871, yet he also ordered the only

banishment of Jews in American

History.

I heard the story on Alabama Public

Radio Sunday morning during Interfaith

Voices.

You can listen to it here. They don't

offer individual show segments, so

you'll have  to advance to about 40:00

into the show unless you want to listen

to the first story about Catholic nuns

and their theological battle with The

Vatican.
