Sunday Focus: Flying to The Paris Airshow

Montgomery Airport-Gunter-1930
Although the actual exposition does not begin until Monday, June 15, the majority of an estimated 60 elected, civic, business and higher education leaders are expected to be on site by Sunday for opening ceremonies, welcome receptions and tours. Canfield will be joined by two staff members, while delegations representing interests in Mobile, Baldwin County, Huntsville, Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, Enterprise and the Auburn-Opelika area will also make the trip.
                                               From AL.COM story

At the risk of putting Montgomery City officials in a can't win position, why is there no city representation in Paris?

Montgomery is also a no-show on the state's Made-in-Alabama website airshow article.

And there is only one Montgomery member listed in the 2014 Alabama Aerospace Industry Association directory:
        Kelly Aerospace
2900 Selma Highway
Montgomery, Alabama 36108
The listing says they have 85 employees.

Perhaps Montgomery is putting its industrial recruitment effort in areas where they will more likely succeed?
