Saturday Data: Kepler Distress and How They Fixed it.

 
 She wrote the story for The Orlando Sentinel, explaining what scientists think happened to the spacecraft when they lost contact with it because it went into "emergency mode". The NASA Kepler page is HERE.
 
[An MMMM aside: what is a "contract reporter" you ask? I suspect it is like many journalists today, almost a freelancer, probably without benefits, and maybe without even a desk to work on at the paper. Sigh.]
 
Speaking of science, Sarah Palin was back in the news on Friday because she said she knows as much about science as Bill Nye. She apparently thought he was just a kids TV show host.
Sigh again.
