My Mom's 100th Birthday would have been last week.
Last month would have been Dad's 95th.
And time marches on, at increasing speed (as anyone in their 60's or older will attest).

You say it will be two years before such and such will happen and young people think it is forever.
We older folks know the secret of time passing, that those two years will not only NOT take forever, but they will slip through your fingers before you even realize you are holding them.
It is a lesson that can not be taught, as if doing so would violate some secret law of physics.It is learned only by experience. And by then, it is too late.
