"Literally" Watch

This afternoon on NPR, in a report describing the winner of an Olympic track event: "He was literally running away with the gold." Uh, he didn't have the medal at that point, and besides....oh whatever! [Literally Watch is a public service of this blog, an attempt to return the use of the word to its true meaning.]
