Democrats in Minnesota Killed/Wounded

  "Melissa Hortman, a top Democrat in the Minnesota House, and her husband were fatally shot early Saturday by a gunman impersonating a police officer in what Gov. Tim Walz (D) called a “politically motivated assassination.” State Sen. John Hoffman (D) and his wife were seriously wounded in a shooting believed to be connected to the same suspect, authorities said. A manhunt is underway for the suspect, who fled police after a brief exchange of gunfire at the Hortman home."
