various racial problems, from my boyhood in the late '40s to my
retirement from higher education and the law in 2014. It contains many
asides on related subjects, however, and so might be of interest beyond
its primary focus. It is available now.

written the enclosed note without names so that I can cause no
embarrassment to any friend of mine! I'd love to see you at one of the
