And now the CD is leaving...

As previously posted, it is harder and harder to know what format to adopt for media. Cassettes are all but gone, and now comes word that one major manufacturer of car stereos is leaving the CD player out of a new model. The story in the NY Times says it's Blaupunkt's Brisbane SD48 car stereo that's going CD free. Instead, look for all kinds of slots for portable media, including, of course, an iPod input.
