This chart shows the yearly decline in the number of people who find local TV news credible...and you have to wonder if there's a link. About the only time a correction gets on TV is if somebody makes a very big stink about an error. Newspapers print corrections routinely because they consider themselves a record of the day's events. Unfortunately for the papers, staff cuts continue to reduce the number of eyes watching for mistakes. Someday there may be an entire section called "Corrections".
