Remember the song popularized by the late singer/songwriter/actor/guitarist extraordinaire Jerry Reed, which was entitled "She Got the Gold Mine, I Got the Shaft"?
The sell-out Republican whom is purported to represent the 4th Congressional district in the U.S. Congress - Robert Aderholt (R-AL) - believed Bush (liar) on CAFTA, and cast the DECIDING vote AGAINST his constituency's best interest.
Now, the textile & sock industry is, like many other things, nothing but a memory in Alabama.
And, that's not the whole of it. On this Memorial Day, it's apropos to recall that Aderholt also voted AGAINST the New G.I. Bill.
That's OK, Tim. You have a golden opportunity to redeem your "sin" of so many years ago.
Simply march on down to a Chrysler or GM dealership (if you can find one) and purchase a spanking new UAW-built American automobile. By doing so, you will have donated approximately $1,300 to the cause you so callously disregarded in making your $25 towel purchase.
I'll bet you're getting warm, tingly, liberal feelie-thingies all over just thinking about it!
