Mo>ie Galley Closing?

It appears the Alabama born company is about to throw in the towel and close the remaining 250 locations. It's been a steady downhill ride for Movie Gallery, started in 1985 by two Alabama businessmen who didn't even own a VHS machine.
Their name had been on Troy University's stadium for some years, but it was removed weeks ago. They filed for a second bankruptcy in March. Their "store locator" feature lists 16 stores left in Alabama. Their "Contact us" link displays a notice:

WHOOPS! We're experiencing a brief moment of technical difficulty. Our programming team has been alerted. Please try again later
    I wouldn't hold my breath.
Employees were informed yesterday about the closings, but so far as I can tell, nobody in the media is getting reponse to calls for confirmation.
Blame downloading and movies by mail (like Netflix). I can't remember the last time I went to a video store. And unfortunately for Movie Galley, I had a lot of company.
Watch for some really big sales.
