HOME grown peaches.


     I understand that all of our fresh fruits and vegetables are not going to be locally grown, but with Alabama Peach Country all around us, why advertise an out-of-state origin?
   This sign was in a Montgomery grocery. Do you think they have signs reading "Alabama Peaches" over in Atlanta?

    Looks like a Publix store, is it not? They're headquartered in Florida and serve several Southeastern states. So, I guess they buy in huge amounts to sell in their various stores.

    Yes Jay, but I just question the sign...why point out that they come from competing farmers in another state rather than Alabama?

    Sort of like Publix now selling strawberries from California. Is the Florida growing season over already?
