The Other Show Has Fallen

Alabama Public Television  is closing it's Montgomery location, putting more than a dozen people out of a job, and ending one of the few local shows produced by the network, Capitol Journal.
Sorry to hear about those former co-workers!
It's been almost two and a half years since my own position and "For The Record" were eliminated.

  1. Something seems fundamentally wrong about the state of Alabama's public television network not having a bureau in the capital city.

The loss of quality local journalism makes us all worse off.

  3. There are certain elements on Goat Hill that don't want the real news to be known. Shut down the airwaves!

It won't work as long as we have other ways of communication. If necessary, we'll even use smoke signals and Morse code.

  4. The guy at APT that is doing all this is the same that did in Tim.
He came from a single staion in Pensacola t run a statewide network. he was way above his training ezperience he came to Alabama and keeps proving that this so so. Firehim at put Tim in charge. If he wont take, then hire who he would reccommend.

  5. It's ironic how funding can be "lost" but there's enough to keep Allan Pizzato around. He needs to go, others should stay. I make no bones about having no respect for his actions at APT.
