Flynt On Immigration

Two quotes from retired Alabama Historian Wayne Flynt regarding the Immigration Law:

“This is the most mean-spirited, hateful thing I’ve ever read,"

and...

 "We only like immigrants if they come with car plants."

The Press-Register in Mobile has the whole story. Flynt, by the way, will be speaking at a book signing event at the Alabama Department of Archives and History today at Noon.

    Wayne Flynt is one of Alabama's greatest treasures. I plan to hear him again when he comes to Samford University library October 29 as part of the school's homecoming weekend activities.

    As it happens, I've been extremely busy today regarding the lawsuit seeking to block the transfer of $30,000,000 from the PSC's Dual Party Relay Fund into the Education Trust Fund.
