Motown

Never been, have no folks I know living there, but I've been saddened to watch Detroit crumble. Their best solution seems to be shrinking the size of the city, abandoning huge tracks of land to nature.
Now Rolling Stone reports there are some 50,000 wild dogs roaming the streets in packs.
Where's Mad Max when you need him?

[Note: here's where that picture came from, and the story of that sad house!]

  1. I was in Detroit in 1988 for the Episcopal Church's General Convention.

They had, and may still have, glittering convention facilities. An interesting thing was the monorail that went around the city. Most of the stops were places you wouldn't want to get off the train for.

There was a two-block area full of Greek restaurants. But the rest of the city was indeed in sad shape.
