One of the races I'll be watching closely today is the Primary between Republican Incumbent 1st District Congressman Jo Bonner and Challenger Dean Young.
That's because it was Young, running in a Primary for Secreary of State in 2002, who was part of one of the most memorable exhanges during my decade at the helm of For The Record.
Young was on the show on June 18th with his Primary opponent, Dave Thomas, when one or the other suggested they "take it out to the APT parking lot and go at it "mano a mano". They didn't, but it was close.
By the way, live Montgomery area coverage of the elections begins at 9:00pm tonight on CBS 8.

Reminds me of the famous Bishop-Barron slugfest of a few years back.
