     For a conservative Supreme Court, the justices sure have been issuing pro-defendant's rights decisions.Consider today's pair about the right to adequate counsel when it comes to plea bargains. I didn't realize that 95% of guilty decisions come as a the result of plea agreements as opposed to decisions by judges or juries.
     The decision once again show the real importance of presidential elections. If Mr. Obama is re-elected in November, he will nominate a moderate/liberal justice to fill any vacancy on the high court. If the GOP nominee, whomever it may be, is elected, a much less liberal nominee is assured.
     And so swings the pendulum.
