Apple's Tax Bite Nibble
This morning's NY Times includes a report on Apple's extraordinary ability to pay lower taxes by "making" most of its profit---70%--- overseas.
The Times reports Apple has a corporate tax rate of zero---as opposed to the 18.5% it in its home state of California.
As an indirect, but related result, a community college a mile and a half from Apple Headquarters is in danger of closing, a college attended by company co-founder Steve Wozniak and other Apple executives.
