A lobbyist said something bad about a legislator??? Really? The Montgomery Advertiser reports the leadership will hold a hearing that could result in Clair Austin being banned from lobbying during the rest of the session for saying something bad about Democrat Joe Hubbard.
Nobody is saying just what was said, but come on! Let's get every present and former lobbyist and legislator and get them to answer-- under oath-- if they ever said anything bad about a legislator or a lobbyist and ban 'am all from the session.They're using "Rule 27" (The Don't Hurt My Feelings Rule"?) to schedule the unprecedented hearing.
How about holding a hearing into lobbyists and lawmakers saying something bad about the great majority of Alabamians who have no lobbyist working the aisles for them...as in when they convince legislators to vote against bills to help people because it hurts the lobbyists's client's profits.
This puzzles me because the Republicans are scheduling a hearing because she said something bad about a Democratic legislator.
