Veteran (Lip) Service.

     You will not find the news on The Alabama Department of Veterans Affairs "news" page, but more than a dozen Vet Centers in the state are closing, victims of the continuing Alabama budget cuts.
    The Anniston Star has the story...but not the full list of the 17 being closed. The Times-Daily in Florence has the list.
    I wonder if Veteran and Governor Robert Bentley ever had to use one of them?
    The timing is wonderful, coming a day after so many state officials spent Memorial Day praising the vets who "paid the ultimate price". Then again, since they're dead, I guess they don't need the Vet Centers anyway, do they?
