A-S-U

Joseph Silver
The new President of Alabama State University, who oversaw the ribbon cutting at the brand new $62-Million A-S-U stadium on Thanksgiving Day, has been placed on paid leave by the Board of Trustees, and that board will may vote on Thursday afternoon whether to fire him.
President Joseph Silver says he is being fired because he "stumbled" across some kind of misspending and would not back down and go along with it.
State Representative John Knight, one of those Silver named as being involved, has been named to run the day to day operations. Silver said he issued letter of termination against Knight and another University executive before he was put on paid leave.
