I like it. Republican candidate for State Auditor Ray Bryan says elect him and he'll work to eliminate it.
Though he needs the legislature to accomplish that, so what I'd like is a companion promise. If he can't sell the legislators on eliminating the office, he'll resign.

ReplyDeleteFolks outside Alabama are incredulous when I tell them that the office of Agriculture Commissioner is an elective office and usually is hotly contested.
And then there's the matter of electing school superintendents and even coroners . . .
