Reuters (think The Associated Press with an English or French accent) distributed a feature story about spending 48 hours in Birmingham.
Today Birmingham is known for fried chicken and James Beard-nominated chefs, and a music scene ranging from blues and country to jazz and opera.
The reporter hits all of the obvious...Vulcan, The Art Museum, The Zoo and Botanical Gardens...and suggest a visit to Ross Bridge, the city's "only four star hotel", and recommends The Hot and Hot Fish Club for dinner.
Clearly this will be for a traveler with cash.
But it is fun to see what's recommended for visitors.
That's a very tight schedule! From hiking to museums to high-end dining to music.
