There's a feature article about the fear of clowns in Smithsonian. I've known a number of people who are truly clown phobic...or victims of Coulrophobia. They don't find clowns the least bit funny, and the article explains why they have a lot of company.
I'm not exactly clown-phobic but they make me uncomfortable. I like to see people as they are, not as they pretend to be.
ReplyDeleteEspecially I dislike church services featuring "clown ministry." It used to be the rage several decades ago but thankfully it seems to have died out.
