Notice that the airline has cleverly decided to cover up its name above passenger windows on the side of a crash-landed jetliner in Bangkok, Thailand.
Sure, that will work to keep people from knowing you had an accident! Nobody would ever recognize the purple and pink and gold design of Thai Airlines, or notice the hulking plane leftovers.
They call it a "crisis communication rule"...cover up the logos in the event of a crash.
That did NOT happen in August in Birmingham with the FedEx crash, even though both pilots died and nobody died in the Thai crash.
Maybe it was just a question of the size of the UPS message.
Rule #1: It is almost always better to get in front of a disaster rather than trying to cover it up.
