Yup, there's a list out there of the professions with the most (on the left), and those with the least (on the right). And I'm on the left list. Twice!
Well, not me, but my profession. There it is at number 3---Media (TV/Radio), and at number 6 (Journalist), according to a story in The Week magazine.
Time for a career change!
ALSO: The 60-Minutes segment a week ago about the terrorist attack on the U.S. Embassy at Benghazi is under attack. The Washington Post raises questions about the main source interviewed for the story, but also suggests a reason for the conflicting statement he's made. GOP media is, of course, ignoring those suggested reasons and pouncing on the conflict.
AND...AP has generated an in-depth story in many papers this morning as the 50th anniversary of President Kennedy's killing approaches. It's about TV...the maturing of the medium during that coverage, the first truly shared live event in U.S. history.
80%+ of the nation was tuned in for the Monday Afternoon funeral.
I was one of them, just a child, sent home Friday afternoon by an announcement over the school PA, listening to live coverage on the radio as Jack Ruby shot and killed Kennedy's Assassin.
