Job Growth

    

     Governor Bentley was out this week talking about job growth and cutting state spending, but the truth is this: only one state had a worst job growth rate in 2013. Alaska.

Here's the full list. Alabama actually fell from 42nd to 49th.


    Ironically, Bentley's cuts in state spending---$1-Billion is the claimed figure---came largely from eliminating state jobs...thus increasing the unemployment rate and lowering the state's "job creation" ranking.
