The Public Radio Station that I listen to here in Alabama in the O-Dark-O-Clock hours when I get ready, and drive to work each weekday has been off the air since about Thanksgiving (OK, they say since 12/13/13...yes, Friday The 13th.) but it seems much longer.
I finally looked up the status online.
Looks like a major job---having a company manufacture and install a new transmission line from the ground to the top of their antenna. That will take weeks, and I am sure it will be expensive too.
The reason I listen to that particular APR station--88.3 FM-- is
that it carries the BBC overnight, and I would rather hear news--even mostly internatinal news--as I head to the newsroom.
Anyway, the quicker the repairs come the better! The online signal I am listening to right now has a terrible quality...over-modulation is my diagnosis...and I can't receive an internet signal in my car, though I know that it is coming down the pike.
