Watch out Southern States

Southern U.S. states have in recent years lured many new auto plants with lower wages and other enticements. But labor costs in the U.S. are now leveling out, Muro said.
"Mexico is the new South — the low-cost alternative," Muro said.

     From a story in The Los Angeles Times on the growth of auto assembly plants in Mexico. 
     Remember our once ample textile plants. They came to the South because of cheap labor. All gone now. They abandoned the South for other countries where the labor was even cheaper.
