I don't care how different a culture is from the U.S.
Family members killing a relative by stoning because she refused to marry her cousin is plain-as-day wrong.
And any religion that endorses it is not a religion, but a boy's club with a bizarre set of rules.
Arranged marriages are the norm among conservative Pakistanis, and hundreds of women are murdered every year in so-called honour killings carried out by husbands or relatives as a punishment for alleged adultery or other illicit sexual behaviour that is perceived to bring shame upon her family.
Here's the rest of the story of the woman in Pakistan who was stoned to death....and the new development that, despite her husband's expression of grief, it turns out he killed his previous wife and was "forgiven" by another relative so all's well.
I can't imagine the two countries having anything other than the barest of a diplomatic relationship.
And of course it's the same country that managed not to see Osama Bin Laden hiding in plain sight near their military academy.
