Which Armed Service Gets Most Public Support?

The Gallup Folks have been asking that question for a while....and here are the results over the past decade:

     I wonder why the Air Force has dropped so much since 2001? Drones? Allegations of sexual assault at the Air Force Academy? 
     It could be that such a small percentage of the population (1%) has served in the military that people are going simply what they hear, as opposed to any personal experience?
