So let's see if I have this right. Pope Frances issues an across the board excommunication for members of the Mafia for their decidedly unchristian ways.... And...in the same week... the Mormon Church excommunicates a woman for advocating for women's rights?
Both the Roman Catholic Church and the Mormon church have all-male hierarchies.
