Hobby Lobby Lesson

The real lesson in the "Hobby Hobby" case decided today in a 5-4 Supreme Court vote is this: the person elected president and the 100 who win a U.S. Senate seat are much more important than just who occupies the White House and The U.S. Senate chamber.

They get to nominate Supreme Court Justices, and those justices make decisions that are, in the long run, even more important than those from the other two branches of government.

The same court that granted political rights to corporations in Citizen's United has now granted certain corporations religious rights as well, limited though the majority decision was.
