Governors Jindal and Bentley make a "friendly wager" over tonight's Alabama-LSU game.
Mr. Bentley: no, you may NOT have the right to do what you deny to the rest of the state. A wager is a wager. It is gambling, the same kind the Attorneys General have gone after in the Black Belt...an action you have endorsed. The same kind that state authorities have used to charge people with a crime.
(Watch the game in Montgomery on CBS 8 at 7:00pm!...but no betting allowed!)

Was Bentley arrested and thrown in the hoosegow for this?
ReplyDeleteI'll bet no. (Oooops! But I'm in Maryland, which has a state-run lottery.)
