Media Extra: (UN-)Reality TV in Montgomery

No stings, but lots of strings guaranteed!
A Lifetime "reality" TV show will premier on April 20th at 10:00pm. It's about the Alabama State University Band..,but the reality of the production is in question. From The Montgomery Advertiser story:

He (Director of Bands James Oliver) said contract negotiations with Tremendous! Entertainment allowed them to make sure ASU was portrayed in a positive light.
“We have a brand at ASU and we didn’t want to embarrass the school,” Oliver said.
While Oliver praised the editors for the how the show was put together, he said everything presented is authentic.
“Nothing is scripted, everything you see actually happened,” he said.

Well, not quite. If any negatives are edited out---or more likely, never filmed at all---it is hardly "authentic". Scripted as a PR production is more like it.
