Sunday Focus: A Coal Pile That's Been Burning 100+ years.

    
     It's in India, reports Reuters. And the new government is determined to extinguish it so they can get to Billions of dollars worth of high grade coal underneath it.

     India, and a lot of the rest of the world, still uses coal and isn't planning on stopping.

Plant Greene County is being converted to gas.
     Here in Alabama, power plants are being converted to natural gas, and the coal industry in the state has taken a tumble.  

     That led one of the Public Service Commissioners to ask residents to pray for intervention last year:


PSC commissioner-elect Chip Beeker said that Alabama's coal was created by God and charged that the government shouldn't interfere with God's plan, according to AL.com.

"Who has the right to take what God's given a state?" he asked.
