The Farmers Almanac and The Old Farmer's Almanac are out with their predictions for the entire Winter of 2016....a feat the national Weather Service and TV weather folks just about everywhere say is impossible. Nonetheless:
The Washington Post weather columnist adds his own two cents today. He quotes a comment by a professor of atmospheric sciences at the University of Georgia:
The Farmer's Almanac's long range forecast for the SouthEast?
4th-7th. Potentially stormy Labor Day weekend with widespread thunderstorms.
8th-11th. Fair period.
12th-15th. Thunderstorms from Tennessee Valley, points east.
16th-19th. Rain, showers.
20th-23rd. Mostly fair skies.
24th-27th. Showery, thundery weather.
28th-30th. Gradual clearing.
4th-7th. Pleasant weather.
8th-11th. Heavy rains, then clearing skies and turning quite cool.
12th-15th. Pleasant weather.
16th-19th. A cold rain, then fair skies.
