Not in Alabama: Hybrid Hyundai 2016

An exciting new Hyundai vehicle with lots of features and a 27 mile driving range during battery-only operation. But:

The Sonata Plug-in Hybrid is built at the Asan, South Korea plant and will be available in California, Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island and Vermont.

So the newest Hyundai in the company's fleet is built in South Korea and isn't available in the state that is home to the only Hyundai plant in America, Alabama.

Hyundai has been talking about another U.S. plant. Could that be to produce a hybrid here?

HERE is the company's press release about the new vehicle.
